Website Status Checker

Are you looking for a Website Status Checker? This is a very useful tool that can help you check the status of a website, or any other web address.

What is Website Status Checker

This tool works like a spider, crawls the whole Internet, and tells you whether the website you want to check is up or down. It does that in three ways:

1) Checking the webpages directly via HTTP requests to the web servers.

If you type "https://www.google.com/" into your browser, your browser will check if the website is "secure". In other words, it checks that there is a security certificate on the website to make sure that what the website is saying is true and not modified. The security certificate is a small file that contains a hash of "" The security certificate is a small file that contains a hash of the website's public key. If the file is not present, the site is considered not to have a security certificate and is not checked.

2) Checking the WHOIS records of the websites.

To see who owns a domain name (like seofreetoolz.net.com), you have to look at the WHOIS record of the the domain.

The WHOIS record tells you basic information about a domain name like the owner, the name server that manages it, and the name server's IP address. The WHOIS record is usually found on the registrar's website in the Registrar Information section. If you are buying a domain name from a domain name registrar, they should have a WHOIS record for the domain name you want to purchase.

3) Checking the DNS records of the websites.

DNS is the Internet Domain Name System. It’s used by web browsers to resolve domain names into IP addresses (i.e., the numerical location of a website on the Internet).
For example, if I type www.google.com into my browser address bar, it will look up the DNS to find an IP address that points to
If the website you want to check has been blocked by its hosting company, the tool will inform you of that.

If it is a website you want to access, but for some reason you are not able to, then the tool will tell you why. This is a great resource for those who don’t know what the status of their website is and want to check if it is available or if it has been blocked. How does it work? All you need to do is enter the URL you want to check into the box, and click on the button to start checking.

It will also check whether the website is up or down using the website's availability map.
